Sam practiced his writing and poured over his new British coin book. We had been to the library and stocked up on a bag full of books.
Owen did some colouring.
And got excited by a box of mixed sensory activities.
The boys started watching this series with Blokey and found it facinating.
We have friends over on Friday to play and had a lovely afternoon catching up. We also updated our dog journal.
Blokey worked on the bus, I went for a bike ride with Sam, Owen played with his friend online and they built 'stuff' together.
The next morning Sam was up at 3am, so I took him for a walk to try and ease his fizzy brain. We did some blackberry picking as we walked and he talked..and boy did he talk. He refuses to pick the berries himself due to his wasp and fly phobia, so I get him to hold the box. Only problem is he flits behind me, randomly shouting 'there's one!'. As everything's said with the same level ( level 100 that is) of urgency, I never know whether he's shouting that there's a wasp/fly, or he's pointing out blackberries. Even when he's pointing out blackberries, you have no idea where they are because he can't keep still...this also makes putting them in his box pretty much a crap shoot. I make sure we are far from the houses because he's rather loud and it's very early!
Past the wheat fields...he's now talking about dead animals he has found.
At the halfway point of this walk we do, we have to stop and admire the views. It's now 2km and he's run backwards and forwards like a terrier the whole way, so I reckon he's covered 4 km min...he's still hyperactive.
Heading home now and he's moved on to road safety as his weapon of choice for my sore head.
