The Seaside, Maths, Absolute Genius, friends visiting

I was up very early for a quick run and caught the sunrise.

t was a glorious day, we loaded the camper with dogs and small people and headed for the coast. Our old girl loves the beach and really perked up.

The fluffy wolfdog had a rare old time too.

Sam and I loved beach combing .

Both boys enjoyed walking along the wall on the Promenade.

We even managed to get a photo of them together, which is a rare thing these days.

Bruised and battered boy legs.
P

We had the beach to ourselves for quite a long time because we had beat the traffic with our early start.

The views were stunning.

We found a great cafe too and had a slap up brunch whilst we were there too. So the trio was declared a great success!!!
The drive home in Bank holiday traffic was a lot less fun.

The next day Sam was delighted that I have bought him a pair a of running leggings.
'Take a picture of me and make sure you get my new pants in too!'

'Now get one of me running in my new leggings!.. They are so comfy, I love them, I am sure I can run much faster with these on, these are my new most favourite thing Mum!'

The top of the hill is br out to you by Sam in his new leggings.

Back home he works with some maths problems

Then after Owen has washed and eaten, we watch Dick and Dom Absolute Genuis. The first In the series is about the Wright brothers and is so good, they are itching to watch more.

Alexander Flemming was next and we loved the bacteria pictures they made.

Then we learnt about Marconi before the boys decided to go and play together.

Later we made burgers and then the children attended their regular jujitsu lesson.

Sam wanted to do life skills and helped me with the chores and cleaning.

Owen worked on maths.

Sam and I were up early for a dawn run....it was freezing!

Even after a few Kilometres Sam was still shivering and complaining about his cold hands.

I baked some of his fav 'chocolate breads' whilst he warned up in the shower.

They were done in time for Blokey to wrap a couple of warm ones and take them in his van to work.

At the weekend Sam and I did a 7km bike ride.

He also enjoyed looking at the nooks I ordered for him about coins.

There were some stunning webs in the mist.

Then as it was our wedding anniversary Blokey surprised us all with a visit to a Brasilian Restaurant.

We ate a huge amount.

And all loved it.

The next morning we got up early and went swimming. Then pretty much chilled out doing bits and bobs around the house because the weather wasn't very good.

Monday 21 August 2017

Sleep! Dogs, words and weapons.

Much dog cuddling was done after a hard day playing with friends outside.

Sam and I worked on a new lesson working out simple interest and percentages.

Owen continued to work well on the number system.

And order of operations.

We received some water testing kits.

Whilst I was getting organised Owen worked through his word search book.

And Sam found new words on Word Soup.

Owens completed search.

We then headed to the pond to test the water.

'I want to look evil'.....*tick*

Testing the village stream and some gurning came next.

They then asked to go for a walk.

During some high jinx, Owen pushed Sam over in the mud ( Sam's giggling hysterically) ..

But then rallies and Owen has to run for his life! 'Save me mother!!'

We find a butterfly resting.

Then read up about our water tests.

And send then off via the miracle of the interwebs to the fresh water people.

Jujitsu class came later.

We watched some Brain Games on Netflix.

Owen and I made some Hot chilli sauce. Then the boys played with their local friends.

And caught up with our weapons programme.

We went to the park in Stafford and had a play with friends.

Despite resisting me all the way, Owen had a great time.

I even managed a coffee at the park cafe for the first time.

Back home we made burgers and had a mini picnic indoors whilst watching a new film on Netflix.

Early the next morning Sam and I went out for a walk.

After a shower and breakfast Blokey decided we should head out for the day as it was too nice to stay home.
We visited Badgers Dingle.

There were caves and an icehouse carved in the rocks.

So lovely ponds and waterfalls.

Lots of secret places in amongst the trees and we all thought it was rather magical.

Owen did some climbing.

Then we found a lovely pub and stopped for a late and large lunch.
This was a light bite meal...huge!

'Four sausages MUM!'

The next morning we all went swimming and had a lovely session. Then the children came home, ate again and went off to play outside for the rest of the day.
