Maths, drawing, circuit training and the minibus.

We started from with R M Easimaths this morning.

First Owen

Then Sam

Next Sam tried the Osmo masterpiece app. He wanted to do a Minion:

I showed him how to use thicker pens for larger areas.

Finished Minion.

He chose quite a hard one for his first attempt , so I had to help him towards the end with the colouring in because his hands were getting tired. We did the feet and an arm each.

Meanwhile Owen watched a programme on dog behaviour, which he found incredibly moving.

Later I showed Sam the Newton App using Osmo..he loved it, and raced through the levels.

We did some Tangram shape puzzles using Osmo too

Sam was up early again on Tuesday and wanted to do his maths using Osmo Numbers

He got through to the Connect level, then wanted to do some more on the Newton App.

And a drawing for his Consultant, who we are seeing tomorrow.

Owen tried Tangrams and found he has a good eye for this type of puzzle

Then he raced through some levels of Osmo Numbers , catching up with Sam.

As it was dry today we visited Trentham Gardens. We used the playarea for circuit training.

The boys asked me to time them.

We hunted for concerts.

We found quite a lot.

Then looked round the vegetable and sensory gardens.

Sheltered from the rain under trees.

And Owen photo bombed.

As the rain was quite hard now we headed back through the gardens collecting Pokemon and visiting Poke stops.

The a quick trip to the post office to send a birthday gift, before going home for lunch.

As we had an appointment with Sam's consultant this afternoon, we did maths in the morning and set off after lunch so we had time to visit Kenilworth Castle and gardens beforehand ( it is near the hospital we go to) . Despite the weather looking iffy, we were fortunate to enjoy sunshine for the hours at the castle.

It's a really interesting place and tied in with our recent work on castles and the Tudors.

We managed to get to the top of the highest towers and it was really windy!

The wee many great views

We also enjoyed the Elizebethian gardens.

The gardens were beautiful.

We peered into the ruined rooms.

Views from the Tower.

The next day Owen and I did some baking.

And there was more maths for both boys.

The finished bread sticks

Some plain and some cinnamon baps.

Sam spent more time helping Blokey with the conversion to the bus.

More maths the next day for both boys.

The next morning we went swimming early, then back to the house . Sam spent his time between the minibus helping his Dad and playing at the park with Owen and friends.

We also played chess and watched films together.
