Museums, Osmo, maths and conversions.

We had decided on going to Stokesay castle today but life got in the way and we had to change our plans suddenly. We ended up at Hanley Museum and found out all about the local wildlife ( Sam knew quite a lot already , so we added to his knowledge) . There was also a whole floor on local history, so we spent a long time looking round there too.

I explained about L.S . Lowry but the boys were unimpressed.

We all loved these contemporary works.

Then we grabbed some sandwiches and headed home.

Both boys are a bit under the weather today, sore throats and sneezes, hopefully they can shake it off soon.

We did some work on Osmo Numbers first today.

Then learnt about Warwick Castle.

In the evening the boys attended their jujitsu class.

Owen is full of a cold today, but managing ok. We worked on Maths using the RM Easimaths system.

We met friends at the park and played hide n seek.

Met the tame squirrels

Played table tennis, skateboarded and used the exercise equipment and play area. 

Sam and I worked on Osmo Numbers first the next day.

Then challenged each other at the picture and word game..

Owen is still struggling with his cold, so was up a bit later. He played the words and pictures game first.

Then the number game.

Whilst I was working with Owen, Sam used Universal sandbox 2 to create new universes and big bangs. It's a beautiful game.

We learnt about More Britsh castles Caernarfon today.

Whilst Sam played on his PC upstairs, Owen and I watched Back To the Future...which was more of a history lesson and he found hilarious. Half way through his friends called round , so both boys went to play at the park until tea time.

After their showers we watched some more Pirates of the Caribbean.

We visited my in laws today and the boys enjoyed seeing their grand parents . Later I did household work and the boys played with friends.

Blokey made good headway with work on the camper bus . It's a bit manic but stuff is getting done and Sam enjoys helping his dad with the build.
