Easing back gently, transitions, maths and the cinema.

Owen and Sam enjoy playing with their new presents and spending most afternoons at the local park with their friend. When the local children go back to school, I start the boys slowly back into regular activities at home.

They write their thank you cards. They enjoy using the pens Blokey and I bought them for Christmas.

They then play together and when their friends finish school, off they go to the park. We have given them a cheap mobile so we can keep in touch, and all feel safe when they are out playing.
Owen has already locked the SIM card by faffing around with the settings, so he is pleased when the new SIM is delivered. Sam hasn't got a look in, but doesn't seem too interested as yet.

The following day we work on maths. It's a bit of a struggle after the time off and the boys need to spend time recapping on what they have forgotten.

Owen finds this particularly frustrating.

Sam got so into doing his maths work, that he carried in working all morning and finished the whole section, gaining his certificates.

Owen was not so keen to be getting back into his work but once he got into it he did well.

Sam got a camera off us for Christmas and has been out and about filming .

There has also been some live streaming going on.

In the evenings, we played some of the new board games the children had for Christmas.

This one was hilarious, mainly because of the random answers we got.

As our local pub has changed hands, we read some reviews. There were many recommendations regarding the food , so we decided to go for lunch.

It was very quiet at lunch time and we had a great meal, all home cooked. The boys were particularly interested in the new bathroom fittings. They took my phone and filmed the water coming out of the new fancy taps...which tickled us no end.

I was dropped off back at home and the menfolk decided to go to the cinema.

Owen walked with me in the morning before breakfast , he needed a rest, as I walk really fast. We had a good laugh but he said it's too much and his legs were killing him.

The children mostly played outside at the park ,must having a brief rest after dinner. Owen went back out with his friend, Sam and I played UNO, then he went off to play football.

Despite the rain, there was a large group of children laying at the park. Owen kept me updated by phoning me regularly. His friend, also has a phone and they talk for hours at the park, then text each other constantly once home. Sam's not as interested in the phone as yet, however it's proving helpful to make sure I get meals on the table as they come back. They are ravenous beasts after all that fresh air. Tonight Sam eats 3 large sausages , a pile of mash, peas and French fries. Owen has 4 hot dogs, fries and peas.

Afterwards we play the railway board game...Owen and Sam are enjoying the sensory bag but as we are waiting for the second one to arrive, they currently take turns waddling round in it lol.

It's wet and grey day, so apart from a soggy hour at the park, the boys played inside. There were games of chess, films and working on videos.
